Things to ‘cut’ out so you can thrive // Part 2: being everyone’s cup of tea

How I went from an almost burned out achievement chaser to helping ambitious beauty pros make an impact-

Do I have any other multi-passionate entrepreneurs in the house?!

Yes, girl, I see you and I feel you. If you are a creative that has all of the ideas, are driven to succeed, but always feeling a little lost when it comes to narrowing down your focus, this one’s for you!

For years, I dabbled in all of the things, I’m not just talking about different hair services, like offering Color, Balayage, Haircutting, Trend Haircutting, Extensions, etc. I am talking about adding in a Spa to my growing Hair Salon, because I thought I ‘needed’ to diversify myself and add additional services to make it. I am talking about adding in a boutique to my salon because I wanted to prove to myself that I could run a boutique and a hair salon in harmony (but why?).  I am talking about adding on a few different skincare lines to also sell skincare in addition to haircare.

Disclaimer: If you are a spa/salon, boutique, and/or carry skincare, I am definitely not knocking your superpower. These, however, were not my own personal superpowers. It took many leaps down wrong paths to find the right one that fit for me and to realize that I don’t need all of the distractions and extras to feel complete, whole, or successful.

Standing on your own, exposed, with all of yourself out to the world can be intimidating at times. I am challenging you to stand tall, grounded and know that YOU have something special to offer and may not always ‘need’ to try what you think success looks like to your peers, your family or whomever has an opinion on your career. Other’s expectations based upon their version of success can be totally different than yours, and you CAN coexist with differing ideas. Please do not allow their version to deter you. There is a reason that the passion you have has been placed upon you, in this exact time. Example: Just because Karina down the road is trying out this new amazing direct sales company, doesn’t necessarily mean that you need to jump on. Let’s cheer Karina on in her journey, but also take note of your own personal superpowers. You know what I’m talking about...that ‘secret sauce’ that sets you apart from the crowd…And OWN IT, Sister!

Maybe you’re asking, well how on earth do I figure out what my own ‘superpower’ is when I love all of the things, or what even is niching down and what does that look like for my business?

It took a while to own my own personal specialty, err ‘secret sauce’, if you will… I had to take a look within. A long, still, deep look within and figure out what really lights me up, fuels my energy tank and passion. I knew it had to do with hair, helping others and teaching. Enter-----GLDN Bond Co.

Part of this equation was figuring out who my dream client was. For me, it is someone who is willing to take the little steps towards progress every single day with the willingness to improve, adapt and bring forth their own superpower and own it! Also, it’s someone who has potentially taken classes, the webinar, received the certificates, read the articles, but is not seeing the growth or direction in their business that they had hoped for and is ready for a change. They are ready to take it to the next level and up-level their hair biz. You see, I’m specifically talking to hairstylists who are dreaming the big dream, but ready to take the steps necessary to live it out, IRL.

The lesson here is that you do NOT have to be everyone’s cup of tea to be successful. It may feel scary or a little nerve wracking to actualy own your niche, specialty, and where your strengths lie AND not actually be for everybody. That’s totally OK! Know that when you can figure out who your ideal client is, who you’re talking to and why; your business and you personally will start to see the growth, transformation and even financial rewards start to pour in.

Part of what I do here at GLDN Bond collective is help you figure out your own ‘secret sauce’ AND your dream client! Whoop Whoop! If you’re ready to take it to the next level, be sure to sign up for a complimentary strategy sesh!!

I’m on a Marie Forleo kick lately, and she said it best with this: “If you’re talking to everybody, you’re talking to nobody…”

If you’re out there trying to do all of the things, dabbling here or there, but not finding the clarity, purpose or living out your best life behind the chair and in your free time, I’m here for you! The fact that you’re here and have read allll the way to the bottom of this blog, lets me know you’re interested in making a change. Let’s make an impact together.

XOXO- KYLEE
